Love when that happens. Was pretty unusual for me to post two things so close together so I can see how it could slip by.
Yes, it is very crazy and depressing "out there", and we do need to stay informed and pray or give or do what can help in our corner of the world. But we also must protect our hearts so that we can be strong enough to make the small differences that we are able to.
So funny how similar our paths are! Last week was a blur for me and I was blindsided by the horrible things of the world, but this week I want to be blindsided by the overwhelming, reckless love of God. I love that song, and I do understand it. Yes, I understand how it feels to be swept off our proverbial feet with the love of God, and to know that He is still seeking us and loving us and showering us with His mercy and grace. It still amazes me that you and I have both ended up in similar churches and new experiences that challenge us. I love that God doesn't forget where He put us, and little by little He draws us out and back into the dance of life in serving Him in one way or another. Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm so glad I sat down and paid attention tonight.Pamela M. I made this discovery as I went through some harrowing times with some relatives who were supposed to be close to us. God allowed me to continue on as He wanted me to. Yes, God loves you, I love you, and so does everyone else who knows you! I love the sweet thoughtful things you shared here, about your daughter in law, and also the way you put your hubby's favorite coffee mug right where he can find it...I realized that I do the same thing, and yes, you are right, it's because of LOVE. Thank you for your honesty and humility. You are such a precious daughter of Christ. I'm so glad God allowed us to meet here, and I look forward to the day that we will meet in person...still hoping it will be here on earth before we get to heaven, but if not, we'll still know each other there and I hope you won't go and hide in the restroom when you see me coming to hug you. LOL. Love you so sweet Susie. I miss our daily repartee' here in blogland, but am so happy for you to have all the wonderful little people and big people in your life that keep you busy and happy. Such a wonderful answer to many prayers!! This was great, BTW. Pamela M. Your butterfly wings have really been flapping away since you moved and found that lovely church to work at in the Pre-k, and God has blessed you with new friends and "family"...in a big way! I am so happy for you. God has certainly answered some big prayers. Once we get moved to our new location I may introduce the idea of a book club to the ladies at our church there. It is so good to get people inspired to read again... and to share the experience with happy people!! Blessings to you today dear friend.Pamela M. He has reasons that we don't always see or understand at the time, but your work beside your hubby in ministry, and with college students, etc., was just as valuable as the pre-school ministry...it helped to mold and shape you into the wise owl that you are today...and I am certain there are other co-workers who are benefitting from your "mature and wiser" place of experience. Yes, I believe in looking forward...and giving thanks for the experiences we've had that have helped us to become the woman of God that we are today. We never stop learning in this life...and there may yet be another prong in that fork...so hang on and keep smiling and enjoying what God has given you for today. So proud of you and happy for you.Pamela M. A dear friend taught nursery school for 15 or 16 years. I have been with her when a young adult will come up to her and say, "Do you remember me?" They then share special memories of when that young adult was her student. She touched lives and souls then. I am positive that you have touched lives back then and are doing so now. I am trying to stay more tuned in to God's voice these days...to that "still small voice" whispering His love and His care into my heart in the beauty of His world around me, and from the pages of His Word. I love that your book is now available in a format that will enable people to take it with them. I am so proud of you for figuring this out. God is working...even in this electronic age! He doesn't need his grandchildren to show Him how to figure these things out! LOL. Praise God!!!Pamela M. I believe it is the words, "Christ's body broken for you, Christ's blood shed for you." If I chose to go to the early service at our church, I would hear those words as they always receive communion by intinction. For me, it was like coming back home after a very long, sometimes tortuous journey in churches...I was raised in a Methodist Church, but for the past almost 50 years we have also ministered in and attended various sizes and types of churches. Tears fall down my face almost every single Sunday as I go forward for Communion and hear those same words...Christ's Body, given for you, Pam....The Blood of Christ, for you, Pam...it just hits me right in the heart every single time and I fall to my knees and give thanks... Thank you for sharing this. I LOVE that you and I are once again on a similar journey of faith...Wow...that gives me goose bumps of the sweetest kind.Pamela M.
